Bio
Nicholas Lin is a biotechnologist and postdoctoral research fellow working at the interface of biofabrication, biomaterials, and advanced manufacturing. He earned his B.Eng. in 2016, his M.Eng. in 2018, and his Ph.D. in 2023, all from the Department of Chemical Engineering at McGill University (Montreal, Canada). He investigated cell-surface interactions between bacteria and engineered nanostructures for his doctoral thesis. Currently, Nick works between UBC Microbiology and UBC Architecture to develop scalable biofabrication technologies for mycelium-based engineered living materials.
