Dr. Michael Gold is a professor and former department head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Faculty of Science. Dr. Gold's lab investigates cytoskeletal dynamics, receptor mobility and B Cell activation. In 2007, Dr. Gold received the Canadian Society for Immunology's Cinader Award for career achievements and earned a Faculty of Science Killam Teaching Award, which recognizes outstanding undergraduate and graduate teaching. He joined UBC in 1991.
