Bio
Aurora Mattison graduated from Mount Allison University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Honours Biochemistry, where she conducted an Honours Thesis studying the photosynthetic processes of marine Picocyanobacteria. She is currently a PhD Candidate in the lab of Dr. Jim Johnson at the University of British Columbia studying the role of the Type 2 Ryanodine Receptor in the pancreatic beta cell using a knockout mouse model.
