LSI researchers have launched 20+ spinoffs, such as Tekmira, a publicly traded company advancing drug candidates for cancer and viral infections; TerraGen Discovery, acquired by Cubist Pharmaceuticals for $29M for its environmental drug discovery tech; and EnGene, securing $20M+ in venture funding for its mucosal immunotherapy platform targeting prevalent chronic diseases like IBD and diabetes.
