Learning, memory, cognition, and disorder in the brain

Our lab seeks to understand the neurobiological rules governing learning, memory, cognition, and associated disorders. To do this, we take a multidisciplinary, multiscale approach. We combine cutting-edge experimental techniques with computation, engineering, and mathematics to study memory across the spatial scales of the nervous system: molecules, cells, circuits, and behaviour. Some examples of our funded projects include the study of fear memory, recognition memory, traumatic brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, and schizophrenia.
